About Historical Atlases
Plat maps, when used by themselves or with land deeds, are vital to have when trying to locate property. The department has a few plat maps from the 19th century. These include the following:
- about 1820: Early Land Records of Wayne County, Ohio
- 1826: Wayne County Tax List 1826
- 1856: 1856 Baker's Map
- 1873: 1873 Caldwell's Atlas
- 1897: 1897 Caldwell's Atlas
Those plat maps from the 20th century include:

- 1950, 1952, 1959
- 1961, 1963, 1969
- 1971, 1976, 1979
- 1980, 1983, 1988
- 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998
- 2003, 2005, 2013
The plat maps from the 20th century do not include plat maps of the towns, villages, or cities in Wayne County, Ohio. They include only the townships.
