United Presbyterian Church (now Fredericksburg Presbyterian) was established in 1818 in a log cabin on Shaffer Hill. In 1838 members met in a brick building on Lot 143 Crawford Street and in 1882 they met at the northeast corner of Jackson and Mill Streets in Fredericksburg. Name changes occurred in 1919 when it became known as the Federated Church and in 1954 when it became known as Fredericksburg Presbyterian.
