  • 1908 - Peter Schmid & John Jacob Schmid, purchased City Dairy in Orrville from Cyrus Walter, "receiving a two horses, two wagons, some milk bottles and cans, and a hand (operated) ice cream freezer." [2]

  • 1915 - Dairy purchases "new" delivery wagons.
  • 1919 - Smith Dairy established at 129 N. Vine St., Orrville, Ohio. The phone number was 125.
