Comprehensive History

Komfort Korner in Smithville is Open

Komfort Korner in Smithville is Open. [1] Smithville resumed normal activities today with the re-opening of the Komfort Korner lunch room conducted by C. L. Grant, who has had his business place closed four weeks last Thursday because of an explosion which wrecked a part of the building.

Mr. Grant has replaced the floors, replastered and redecorated the interior and is now prepared to serve patrons as he did before his place was blown up.

"Nearly" Everybody Loves Chicken

"Nearly" everybody loves chicken. How do we know? Well! Here is positive proof: -- Komfort Korner, in care of the Davies families, served at least sixty chicken dinners, luncheons and sandwiches. The supply ran short on Sunday morning. It was replenished and at 4:30 chicken was sold out again. [2]
