Mr. Miller enjoys the fullest advantages in securing fruits and vegetables, with which his store is fully stocked. He also keeps attractive ice cream parlors, and, in the season, the best Baltimore oysters. In addition to his regular trade, he is prepared to serve ice cream, fruits and other delicacies for weddings, parties, festivals or picnics on reasonable terms. Mr. J.D. Miller is a native of this state and has enjoyed a wide experience. He enlisted in 1861 in Co. C. 1st W. Va. Inf., and was captured at Lynchburg, Va., June 18th, 1864. For four months he was held a prisoner in Andersonville, and was subsequently transferred to Florence, S.C., where his allowance for some time was one pint of corn meal per day. [1]
