Comprehensive History

In 1942, Mrs. Ada Zufall came to Wooster, Ohio and opened a gift corner on Wooster Public Square. It was known as the Gift Corner. Two years later, her son-in-law, Rev. Paul Snowden Kelly, passed away. Miriam Kelly, widow of Rev. Paul Kelly, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church and the daughter of Ada Zufall, joined her mom in operating the Gift Corner. Miriam continued to own and operate the Gift Corner following the death of her mother in 1956. In 1972, Miriam sold the business to Mrs. John (Mary Alice) Streeter, who continues to own the Gift Corner today.

Prior to coming to Wooster, Zufall owned and operated a similar gift shop on the boardwalk of Ocean City, New Jersey for nearly 30 years.
