Two years later, on 12 November 1903, she married William B. Chancellor, pastor of a church in Richville, MO. On 21 January 1911, Bertha gave birth to her first and only child, Marion Louise Chancellor. The time of motherhood was short lived. Bertha passed away 4 days later, on 25 Jan 1911, at the young age of 35 years. She left a mourning husband and a 4 day old daughter. Her daughter survived, living to adulthood. Bertha's body was brought back from Rockville, IN to Wooster, OH for burial in the Wooster Cemetery.
