"Restaurant Burns Out in Wooster. The Palace Restaurant, East Liberty Street, Wooster, caught fire at 7:00 a.m. this morning (Thursday) and was completely burned out inside. It was not brought under control until 10:00 a.m. Origin of the fire is unknown.

Fire Chief Lloyd Eberhard was injured when he went to crawl through a broken window. Glass fell from the window and cut his shoulders badly.

He was taken to Wooster Community Hospital, treated, and dismissed. Sally's store, east of the Palace Restaurant, suffered several thousand dollars damage from smoke and water.

There has been no estimate of the damage to the Palace."
