"Formal dedication and opening of one of the finest bank buildings for a place of its size in the state, the new home of the Applecreek Banking Company, is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 24. The building, located in the center of the town, has a frontage of 40 feet on the main thoroughfare. Hundreds are expected to respond to the invitations extended them by the officials of this banking concern.

The building is a beautiful brick structure, having an exterior appearance of a two story building, which enhances the attractiveness of the business section of this place. The merchants of Applecreek are loud in their commendation on the fine new building and praise the officials of the bank for their forward step.

The interior of the building, designed and patterned after the Guardian Trust branch bank building, of Cleveland, is of the latest type construction, and very commodious for the public, as well as for the officials and working force of the institution.

The floor coverings are of Mastic German composition material which resembles tile, making an attractive covering and very durable. The banking room proper is arranged with an enclosure of paneled oak, extending four feet, in which three open wicker windows are constructed, leaving the working department for cashier and tellers open to view of the customer as he enters the building.

To the left of the entrance is the cashier's room, which is nicely furnished with chairs and desk, where private conferences may be held.

The directors' room, just back of the work room, is a pretentious one, furnished in the latest furniture and decorations, which has a business like and attractive appearance.

The most interesting feature of the entire building is the ladies rest room in the basement of the building, which is finished beautifully and furnished with stand, table and chairs where the public may lounge while others of the family are transacting business. This being the only rest room in Applecreek it will be used and appreciated.

The building is well ventilated with transom, casement leaded windows, in front of the building, and three transoms leading through the roof of the building. The room is lavishly lighted with four large daylight globe constructed lights of favorable hue for the protection against strain on the eyes.

This financial institution was organized in 1904, with Dr. J. R. Jameson as its first president, which office he capably fills at the present time. He is the only survivor of the original members of the organization, having tilled the office of president capably and well for the last 26 years.

F. R. Beasell was the first cashier, serving from 1904 to 1922; W. C. Kline was cashier from 1922 to 1923, when H. E. McCarthy, of Orrville, was chosen in that capacity. The increased business under the management of Mr. McCarthy as cashier prompted the officials to provide adequate quarters for this fast growing financial institution.

Members of the board of directors are Dr. J. R. Jameson, president; W. C. Klein, vice president; A. J. Welty, secretary; C. E. Studer, C. H. Swan and H. E. McCarthy.

The Applecreek Banking Co. is capitalized for $25,000 and has a surplus of $19,000.

Applecreek's New Bank Building

This is a splendid picture of the fine new home of the Applecreek Banking Company, which is to be opened on Friday. The front is a light colored face brick, with the windows finished in green trim. The building presents a fine appearance and would do credit to any city.
