Ladies Will Conduct a Rummage Sale Extraordinary

An event which should be of interest to every citizen of Wooster and vicinity will be an up to date rummage sale to be held in the third week in March. This is not to be a collection of worn our unattractive garments: “Cheap clothes and nasty,” as Carlyle puts it, but well include beside good second hand clothing much that will be artistic, useful and attractive.

The sale is to be under the management of the Wooster Federation, and organization composed of the Thursday, travelers and Classics clubs who have federated or united for the purpose of lending their aid and influence in “promoting the advancement of the moral, intellectual and civic interests of Wooster.” to quote form the constitution.

After considering various fields of usefulness it was decided that the first efforts of the federation should be toward securing better quarters for the public library. Mr. Carnegie’s Gift of $12,500 makes it necessary for Wooster to provide a site for the new building, and the proceeds of the above mentioned sale will go to this fund.

The citizens of Wooster are asked to respond generously with their contributions as well as their patronage after the sale commences.
