"Down with the Old -- Walls of the 60 year-old Wayne County Public Library began to tumble down this week as workmen readied site for construction of half-million-dollar structure to replace old building. Freeman Construction Company expects to have new library ready by early 1967. Funds will come from federal allocation and from intangible taxes paid in Wayne County."
