** 1914 - Dry Goods
 +
"This Dry Goods house was opened in Wooster in 1879 by William Annat is still actively connected with the business. The present firm was incorporated in 1913, additional floor space was taken on, modern equipment installed and the store is now a handsome, "up-to-date" establishment enjoying a reputation second to no other house in the country.

===Business letterheads===
+
Carrying no other lines than dry goods, the entire three floors are filled with what is known in trade parlance as high grade merchandise; as that is what the patrons of this house demand and just what this house insists on presenting to those who favor them with their patronage. The one price system of doing business was inaugurated by Mr. Annat when he opened his store here and is strictly adhered to by the present firm. About forty people are connected with this house; some of them having been with the firm during all the thirty-five years.

===Business photos===
+
There is not a more complete store or one with more satisfied customers in Ohio. No merchant can hope to make customers of all of his friends, but-- The William Annat Co. does make friends of all of its customers.  <ref>Wooster Progress. 1914, p. 36.</ref>

There is not a more complete store or one with more satisfied customers in Ohio. No merchant can hope to make customers of all of his friends, but-- The William Annat Co. does make friends of all of its customers. [4]
