  17. License to marry
  18. on motion to the
  19. Court and is appearing
  20. to the satisfaction of the
  21. Court that William H Suly
  22. is a regular ordained minister
  23. of the Gospel of the denomination
  24. usually called Methodist Episcopal
  25. Church. It is ordered that a
  26. License be granted to him to
  27. solemnize marriages within
  28. this state solong as he shall
  29. continue such Regular minister

  3. Court of Common Pleas in and
  4. for the County aforesaid, do hereby certify that at a
  5. Court of Common Pleas, begun and held at Mansfield
  6. in and for the County of Richland aforesaid on the 1st
  7. day of January A.D. 1821, before the Honorable William
  8. Wilson President of our said Court and Robert Bentley,
  9. William Patterson and Isaac Osbun Esquire Associate
  10. Judges of said Court
  11. True Petty came into Court and made
  12. application for a license to solemnize marriages,
  13. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court
  14. that the said True Petty is a regular ordained
  15. Minister of the Gospel of the Methodist Church
  16. It is therefore Ordered by the Court that the said
  17. True Petty be licensed to solemnize marriages in the
  18. County of Richland, agreeably to the laws of this State
  19. In testimony whereof I have hereunto
  20. {Seal} set my hand & affix the seal of said Court
  21. at Mansfield this 12th day of January 1821

  28. the County of Knox aforesaid on the twenty seventh day
  29. of December in the year of our Lord 1816 _ before the Honorable
  30. William Wilson Esquire President of our said Court, Jacob
  31. Young, Abraham Darling & John Trimble Esquire Associate
  32. Judges It having appeared to the full satisfaction of
  33. said Court that Shadrac Ruark is in regular standing
  34. in the Methodist Episcopal Church and by the rules of
  35. said Church duly authorised to celebrate marriages
  36. These are therefore to authorise and fully empower him
  37. the said Shadrack Ruark to unite in the solemn bands
  38. of Matrimony any persons to him legally applying and

  3. restrictions in such cases made and provided, so long
  4. as he shall continue a regular Minister of said Church

  13. Common Pleas October Term 1821
  14. Be it remembered that on the 29th day of
  15. October A.D. 1821. William Pardy produced in Court
  16. here his credentials showing that he is a regular ordained
  17. Minister of the Baptist Church, and the Court being
  18. satisfied thereof do order that he receive a license
  19. authorising him to solemnize marriages according to law,
  20. Therefore these are to authorise and empower the
  21. Rev'd William Pardy aforesaid to solemnize marriages
  22. so long as he shall continue a regular Minister of the
  23. Gospel in the Baptist Church between any persons
  24. legally applying to him for that purpose within this
  25. State Given under my hand and the seal of said Court
  26. at Coshocton County the 29th day of October A.D. 1821.

  31. Tuscarawas County } To all to whom it may concern
  32. {Seal} Be it remembered that on the fifteenth
  33. day of April A.D. 1823 Rev'd William Rider
  34. a resident of said County produced to the Court of Common
  35. Pleas then sitting at New Philadelphia within and for said
  36. County credentials of his being a regular Ordained Minister
  37. of the Gospel of the German Presbyterian, Whereupon
  38. the Court do give and grant unto him the said William
  39. Rider full power and authority to solemnize Marriages
  40. agreeably to law, so long as he shall continue a regular
  41. Minister in said society between all persons legally

  16. issue to Jacob Fry to celebrate marriages in and within
  17. the State of Ohio agreeably to law. Therefore be it known
  18. that by the authority of the Court aforesaid and the powers
  19. vested in us by law, the said Jacob Fry is hereby fully
  20. authorised and empowered to solemnize the marriages of all
  21. such persons as may legally apply to him for the same so
  22. long as he continues a regular member of Minister
  23. of the Evangelical Church in North America -

  25. of my Office at Mount Vernon aforesaid the 6th day
  26. of September A.D. 1823 -

  3. State of Ohio } These are to authorise and
  4. Tuscarawas County } licence the Rev'd James Johnson
  5. to solemnize Marriage within the
  6. State of Ohio, agreeably to the law in such cases made
  7. and provided so long as he remains in Communion with
  8. the United Brethren to which denomination of Christians
  9. he is now attached to - In testimony whereof
  10. I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal
  11. of my Office at New Philadelphia the fourteenth
  12. day of February in the year of our Lord, on thousand
  13. eight hundred and twenty two -

  19. Harrison County } Be it remembered that at a Court of Common
  20. pleas as begun and held at Cadiz in said County on the fifth day
  21. of July A.D. 1819 and adjourned from day to day until the 10th
  22. of the same month before the Honorable Benjamin Tappan President
  23. and James Roberts, Samuel Boyd and Alexander Henderson
  24. Esquires Associate Judges of said Court - July 7th AD 1819.
  25. The Rev'd John Crom, preacher of the gospel among the united
  26. brethren in Christ this day made application to the Court for
  27. a licence to solemnize marriages in the State of Ohio -
  28. Whereupon the Court being satisfied of the ordination of the
  29. said John Crom by a certificate by him produced and shown to
  30. the Court from the yearly Conference of said United Brethren in
  31. Tuscarawas County and State of Ohio on the first day of June A.D.
  32. 1819. And further being satisfied from testimony given that the said
  33. John Crom is a resident of Harrison County Ohio and that the said
  34. John Crom has the charge of a Society in said County, do thereupon
  35. grant to the said John Crom a licence to Solemnize Marriages accor=
  36. dingly so long as he the said John Crom shall remain a regular
  37. Minister of said Society -
  38. State of Ohio } I William Tingley Clerk of the Court of
  39. Harrison County } Common pleas in and for said County of
  40. { Seal } Harrison do hereby certify that the above is a
  41. ( of Com pleas }
