22. is a regular ordained minister
23. of the Gospel of the denomination
24. usually called Methodist Episcopal
25. Church. It is ordered that a
26. License be granted to him to
27. solemnize marriages within
28. this state solong as he shall
29. continue such Regular minister

4. for the County aforesaid, do hereby certify that at a
5. Court of Common Pleas, begun and held at Mansfield
6. in and for the County of Richland aforesaid on the 1st
7. day of January A.D. 1821, before the Honorable William
8. Wilson President of our said Court and Robert Bentley,
9. William Patterson and Isaac Osbun Esquire Associate
10. Judges of said Court
11. True Petty came into Court and made
12. application for a license to solemnize marriages,
13. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court
14. that the said True Petty is a regular ordained
15. Minister of the Gospel of the Methodist Church
16. It is therefore Ordered by the Court that the said
17. True Petty be licensed to solemnize marriages in the
18. County of Richland, agreeably to the laws of this State
19. In testimony whereof I have hereunto
20. {Seal} set my hand & affix the seal of said Court
21. at Mansfield this 12th day of January 1821

28. the County of Knox aforesaid on the twenty seventh day
29. of December in the year of our Lord 1816 _ before the Honorable

31. Young, Abraham Darling & John Trimble Esquire Associate
32. Judges It having appeared to the full satisfaction of
33. said Court that Shadrac Ruark is in regular standing
34. in the Methodist Episcopal Church and by the rules of
35. said Church duly authorised to celebrate marriages
36. These are therefore to authorise and fully empower him
37. the said Shadrack Ruark to unite in the solemn bands
38. of Matrimony any persons to him legally applying and

4. as he shall continue a regular Minister of said Church

12. Common Pleas October Term 1821
13. Be it remembered that on the 29th day of
14. October A.D. 1821. William Pardy produced in Court
15. here his credentials showing that he is a regular ordained
16. Minister of the Baptist Church, and the Court being
17. satisfied thereof do order that he receive a license
18. authorising him to solemnize marriages according to law,
19. Therefore these are to authorise and empower the
20. Rev'd William Pardy aforesaid to solemnize marriages
21. so long as he shall continue a regular Minister of the
22. Gospel in the Baptist Church between any persons
23. legally applying to him for that purpose within this
24. State Given under my hand and the seal of said Court
25. at Coshocton County the 29th day of October A.D. 1821.

30. Tuscarawas County } To all to whom it may concern
31. {Seal} Be it remembered that on the fifteenth
32. day of April A.D. 1823 Rev'd William Rider
33. a resident of said County produced to the Court of Common
34. Pleas then sitting at New Philadelphia within and for said
35. County credentials of his being a regular Ordained Minister
36. of the Gospel of the German Presbyterian, Whereupon
37. the Court do give and grant unto him the said William
38. Rider full power and authority to solemnize Marriages
39. agreeably to law, so long as he shall continue a regular
40. Minister in said society between all persons legally
