In its heyday, the business was hopping. Jefferson was at the crossroads of U.S. routes 30 and 250 and was a last pit stop for westward travelers heading out of Wooster. Frank Lewis recalled childhood years spent mowing the lawns, busing tables and washing dishes." [1]

- 1920s - Built in the early 1920s by Paul Spangler. First called Log Cabin, The serving sandwiches and side dishes to travelers and stagecoach riders. [2]
- mid 1940s - Business purchased by Angie Hoyer, a best friend of Mary Lewis [3]
- late 1960s - Mary Lewis purchased the business. [4]
