Samuel H. Dawson operated the S. H. Dawson Photographic Studio in [[Wooster, Ohio]] from 1893 until his death in 1942. At the time of his death he held the distinction of being the oldest downtown businessman running a continuous business operation. Before entering the photographic business Mr. Dawson worked as a railway mail clerk for 14 years during which time he developed an interest in cameras. In 1893 Dawson bought the photographic studio business of [[W. H. Harry]] in downtown Wooster from his brother, Albert S. Harry, after the death of William H. Harry in 1892. Which then became the [[S. H. Dawson Photographic Studio]] that ran in the same location, the northeast corner of [[E. Liberty St., Wooster, Ohio|E. Liberty]] and [[Buckeye St., Wooster, Ohio|Buckeye]] streets, for the next 49 years.
