Biography

W. J. Rawlins and his wife ran the Victory Gallery as the Rawlins & Co. in downtown Wooster, Ohio from about 1872 until March 23, 1874 when their studio was destroyed by fire. A 1872 Photography magazine advertisement listed W.J. Rawlins as utilizing Slee's Card Mounts.

1873 Caldwell's Atlas ran add as follows: opposite the Post Office, two doors west of the American House make all the finest styles of Pictures there, the best conducted Gallery, and the finest light in the State. Old Pictures copied and enlarged to any size, All work warranted. [1]
