Lodges and clubs of Wayne County, Ohio have a long history. In the 1948 Wooster City Directory, some large fraternal lodges included: Moose, Elks, Eagles, Odd Fellows, Masons and their women's auxilary organizations. Many of these still exist today. Some Wooster Service Clubs include Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions and 20-30 Club. Downtown business organizations of 1948 include Women's Club, Wooster Business Men's Association, the Wooster Board of Trade and the Wooster Automobile Club.
