Tidbit about the old Lyric some people might remember were: "Bank Nights" held during the depression days of the early 1930s. On Bank Nights there were drawings for a cash prize held at the theater that ranged in the hundreds of dollars. If your name or number was called for the prize you had to be there to claim it. If the money was not claimed, the cash prize grew by a substantial amount for the following week's drawing. Bank Night drew throngs of people to Wooster and the theater was packed to the rafters and people stood outside from Buckeye to Bever standing for hours waiting for the moment of the drawing.<ref>The Daily Record, 1992-DEC-03, <em>'Bank Nights' At Lyric Are Now Just A Fond Memory</em> by Elinor Taylor.</ref>
