As a successful practitioner of medicine and surgery in this city for a period of forty years, except when in the army, we notice Dr. James D. Robison. Dr Robison was born in this city in a house then located

1813 - Parents moved from Franklin County to Wooster, Ohio
1820 - James D. Robinson was born at the corner of Buckeye & North Sts.
1843 - Dr. Robison graduated with honors from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
1846 - James entered the 3d Regt. of Ohio Inf. with Colonel Curtis commanding, as surgeon
- transferred to 3d Ill. Regt. where he served during the Mexican War
1861 - 1th O.V.I. as Surgeon
- soon promoted to brigade surgeon under the command of General Shields
1863 - compelled to resigned due to his wife's health and returned home
- shortly after he was commissioned surgeon of the board of enrollment of the 14th Congressional District of Ohio
- he was examining surgeon of drafted men to the close of the war and then resumed his civil practice
