- 1874 - February 15, Fire, White Cloud Hook & Ladder Company - Several young men in from of Donnelly's Hardware (across the street from Powers) observed the smoke. Mr. Charles H. Healer, Dentist gave the fire alarm. Along with Mr. Healer, Frank Johnson and John Yergin ran across the street to the store. Preparing nearby stores: Lewis Shibley's Jewelry, D. Q. Liggett Dry Goods, Wm. A. Donner Variety Store and T. Y. McCray's Law Office
