The Wooster-Wayne Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was organized 4 March 1904. The idea was formed by Mrs. Mary Clark Zimmerman. Mary had been a DAR member since 1897. She asked 17 women to help her organize the chapter. The first official meeting was held 31 December 1904, with Mrs. Amy Scovel Mullins presiding over the chapter. The name of the chapter was renamed as the Wooster-Wayne Chapter in 1905.
