- 1866, 1889, 1891, 1894, and 1897 are the earlier graduating classes.
- 1891 - First years a high school location was found. Earlier years no location was noted.
- 1891 - Large two-story building was built on South Church Street, the site of the West wing of the former elementary school. Students in grades 1-8 were housed on the first floor and the high school classes were on the second floor which included a combination auditorium and gymnasium.
- 1898 - A class graduated each year
- 1910 - Last graduating class with only 3 years of high school
- 1924 - New high school was dedication which was later the intermediate school.
- Up to mid-1930s - Marshallville operated a 3-year high school until the State of Ohio required them to have 4 years at Marshallville or else attend a 4-year school. Marshallville elected to attend Dalton High School.
- 1936 - Dalton High School included Marshallville students through the Class of 1953.
- 1938 - A new six room addition, two level added with a new west entrance.
- 1950 - New one story elementary building was constructed on the grounds south of the Intermediate building which housed 8 classrooms.
- 1953 - Class of 1953 was the last years Marshallville students were to graduate from Dalton. The State of Ohio refused to permit Marshallville to transport students through Orrville City School District to reach Dalton High School, so, Marshallville chose to become part of the Green Local District in Smithville, Ohio.
- 1955 - A Cafeteria and other rooms added along with a new front entrance.
- 1963 - An $866,000 Bond Issue for the new high school was approved.
- 1966 - November 6, Dalton High School building was dedication.
