After operating a printing plant in Shreve for several years, Charles Collier, Sr. established Collier Printing Company in 1902 in downtown Wooster. By the late 1950s, the company had become the largest printing establishment in Wayne County and expanded its customer base outside of Ohio (including publishing "the Handbook for Kuhuku High and Elementary School, located on the island of Oahu"[1]). The company operations included everything from composing and printing materials to a bindery.
