- 1903 - October 3, Service from Cleveland to Wooster, Ohio began.
- 1903 - The Cleveland Elyria & Western was consolidated with the three companies making up the Cleveland to Wooster route. The company was then known as The Cleveland & Southwestern Traction Co. which had a total of 135 miles.
- 1929 - The depression in 1929 became the downfall of the closing the the railway in Wooster.
- 1930 - July, Final bankruptcy for the Southwestern line
