Albert McFadden was born on 3 December 1817, three miles east of Wooster. On 18 April 1844, at the age of 26 years old, he married Sarah Notestine,[1] only daughter of Jonas and Elizabeth (Summer) Notestine. She was from Canaan Township. In 1865, Albert McFadden moved his family to Wooster so his daughters could be educated in town. After four years, they moved back to the farm. [2]
