Several years ago, we had volunteers look through newspapers for divorce petitions.  This index is a compilation of those divorces found listed in the [[Wayne County, Ohio]] [[Newspapers|newspapers]] from 1822 through 1935.  This is not a complete index of the divorces.  There is no single source to locate divorces in Wayne County, Ohio prior to the formation of the [http://www.waynecourtofcommonpleas.org/services/domestic-relations Domestic Relations Court] in 1914. Divorces may be found in Common Pleas Supreme Court through 1852 or in a variety of court journals until 1914.
