  • 1897 - June, New hotel on West Liberty street, the Reed House in the old Frost property at the corner of Walnut street.[1]
  • 1901 - James E. Peppers last Tuesday rented the Harry Frost property, on West Liberty street, which has been known as the "Reed House." Mr. Peppers was proprietor of the "Fort Wayne House," near the Pa. Ft. W. & railroad station, and will take possession of his new house April 1st. It has 17 rooms, which will be refurnished.[2]
  • 1901 - April, James Peppard and wife are well succeeded as proprietors of the boarding house hotel, Harry Frost building at Maurer's corner, on West Liberty street formerly known as the Reed House.
  • 1912 - May, B. C. Sterling and wife commenced housekeeping last week in the Reed House.[3]
