Comprehensive History

Overton Community Church located at 5575 Mechanicsburg Road, Wooster was established in 1833. It was located at Chester’s Corners which is the southwest corner of the intersection of present-day Smithville Western Road and SR 539. The current building was dedicated in 1879. It has also been known as Overton Church of God.
