A New Lake Near Congress. Proposed Summer Resort-- memorial Day Preparations For Farm Day. Correspondence Wooster Republican.
".... John Rebman has set out 500 peach trees purchased from R. G. Charles & Co., through their agent, Dr. J. M. Ward. .... Dr. J. M. Ward has decided to construct an immense dam across Pee Wee Hollow, thus forming an artificial lake of great depth and many acres in extent. This is one of the most beautiful and romantic spots in Wayne County and at small expense will be made into a summer resort which will certainly prove popular with the people of Wooster and other points on the B. & O R. R. This will also insure the erection of a railway station at the mouth of Shade Creek, near the lake. Work will be commenced on the dame next week.
A committee of the town council has been appointed to secure a site and superintend the erection of a village prison or lockup. This "hotel" will be named from its first guest. BR."
