"Above we present a portrait of the proprietors and employees of the Leickheim & Graber grocery firm, consisting of M. J. Leickheim and John Graber, proprietors, Howard Swanger, Roy McCarthy, Henry Althen, Robert Strauss, Charles Koth and Leonard Twinem, clerks. Mr. Leickheim, the senior partner, has been a member of the firm for more than twenty years and has seen the business steadily grow to its present condition. John Graber, the junior partner, was raised on a farm and has only been a member of the girm since 1901, purchasing a half interest in the business from Wm. K. Kreiter, the firm name at that time being Kreiter & Leickheim. Both members of the present firm are young, hustling men, and that they are now enjoying a good patronage can best be judged by the number of wide-awake clerks employed in the store."
