Paul Smucker, Smithville High School, won first prize in the Wayne County Vocational Farm Account contest for 1930. The farm record was kept under the supervision of J. J. Haley, vocational instruct at Smithville Clarence Gindlesperger Congress High School won second prize, and Clayton Carson Applecreek High School won third prize.

Other winners were S. S. King Smithville High, fourth, Carl Wilson, Dalton High, fifth, Amos Blough, Smithville High, sixth. James Buchholz, Wooster High, seventh, Vernon Thomas, Shreve High eighth, J. A. Kauffman Applecreek High ninth and Donald Rhamy Shreve High, tenth.

Each high school vocational student enrolled in the contest must keep an accurate record on his home farm during the year. The farm account record books kept in Wayne County during 1930 were judged by Guy W. Miller Extension Service Ohio State University on Saturday and the decision announced today.

The farm account contest in the local high schools is being sponsored by the Wayne County Bankers' Association. The association will award prizes to each of the winners."
