"ASHLAND June 14 - E. G. Mason a former Wayne County school ___ yesterday was chosen president of Ashland College, to succeed C. I. Anspach who becomes president of Central States Teachers' College Mt. Pleasant Mich on July 1.

Mason began his teaching career at Mt. Carroll, Ill. in 1907. Hde served for a time as principal of Congress High School and from 1921q to 1925 was superintendent at Rittman going from there to Ashland where he had since served on the faculty. At present he is dean of the college and head of the department of education.
