"West Salem Historical Society had their meeting on Apr 7th in the SHCC, room 1. We discussed our prices for editing and printing the book "The History of West Salem". We decided that we use Bookmasters to print our book. We will haven them ready to sell by the end of May. President Jack Hutchinson thanked the members for providing articles and other contributions.
Ann Crebs is heading up the displays in our Historical Society room during the Sesquicentennial. She has put detailed info in (The Messenger) for anyone who would like to display old items.
President Hutchinson made a motion to set aside funds for speakers. The fund will be called (The Duane A. Read Memorial Speakers Fund.) We can have speaker sin the Library's conference room or the Town Hall's Opera House. Motion passed and we will be forming a Speaker's Committee soon.
Our next meeting is Tuesday, May 5th at 7 pm in Room 1 at the School House Community Campus. The public is welcome."
