"Albright Firm Began In '48.

The Albright Welding and Supply Co. Inc., of 143 East South St., Wooster, was first formed as the Albright Welding and Radiator Shop on N. Buckeye Street, where the H. O. Maurer Heating Co. is located today, by the last Arden F. Albright on May 14, 1928.

In 1939, he moved his operations to his present site, having previously purchased practically the entire northwest corner of the intersection of Buckeye and South Streets.

Albright built a 40 by 60 foot building, which now houses the company.

Robert D. Horst, Arden's son-in-law, has been manager of the company since 1946. It became incorporated in February 1949, as a family controlled corporation.

In October of 1956, the company was reorganized and radiator service department was purchased by John A. Albright. The company then became and still is known as the Albright Welding and Supply Co., Inc. Its founder, Arden F. Albright, died in 1951.

This company specializes in custom welding and fabricating, inert gas welding, welding gases, equipment and supplies. In January of 1953, it instituted delivery of welding gasses and supplies maintaining three routes, the Wooster areas, Southern Way and Holmes counties, and N. Wayne and parts of Medina counties.

Manager Horst married the former Patricia Albright, the founder's daughter, on May 25, 1946. They have two children, Robert Vernon Jr. and James Edward. The family resides on Oak Hill Drive, Wooster."
