Floyd Dugan purchased the Jim White dealership in Wooster, Ohio in 1963. Originally, Dugan joined the Jim White Chevrolet in Toledo, Ohio as a general manager of the firm, a post he held from 1960 to 1963 when he bought the dealership in Wooster and operated it as Floyd Dugan, Inc.

Floyd Dugan had been in the automobile business since 1946 with his first automotive job being with Mack Truck in his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. He joined a Ford dealership in Indianapolis in 1947 and served as a Ford district manager and later as a zone manager. From 1950 to 1952 he operated a Ford dealership in Rensselaer, Indiana and then joined what was the country's largest Ford dealership, Hull-Dobbs, in Cincinnati, Ohio. From 1953 to 1960 he served in various sales executive posts with the Chrysler Corporation.

Floyd Dugan sold his Wooster dealership after the devastating fire sometime during 1968 and never returned to Wooster.[1]
