The history of the Wooster Water Works in Ohio dates back to the 19th century. The Wooster Water Works was established to provide a reliable and clean water supply to the city of Wooster and its residents.

One significant milestone in the history of the Wooster Water Works was the formation of the Water Extension Commission. On November 19, 1894, the Water Extension Commission presented a report to the City Council of Wooster. This report outlined plans and recommendations for expanding and improving the water infrastructure to meet the growing needs of the city's population.
