- 1900 - April 17, Superintendent Charles Haupert issued a "Notice to Contracts" for bids for the construction of a two-story, six room, brick schoolhouse in the Second Ward. D. C. Curry & Co. was awarded the contract for the sum of $18,499. The architect was J. R. Webster. Sidewalks were awarded to J. R. Silver.
- 1901 - September 7, Books adopted for five years were: McGuffey's Readers, Reed's Word Lessons, Metcalf's Elementary English, The Natural Elementary Geography, White's First Book of Arithmetic, and Model Music Course for the Elementary Grades.
- 1902 - January 1, Move of the Second Ward School located at the Northwest corner of the intersection of East North and North Bever Street.

- 1924 - April, First Parents and Teachers Club organized with President Mrs. C. A. Curl, 1st Vice-President Mrs. Mougey, 2nd Vice-President Miss Markley, Secretary Mrs. Hopkins, and Treasurer Miss Kaylor.
- 1924 - September 3, Superintendent Maurer was authorized to organize a Kindergarten for one-half day instruction at the Beall Avenue School and Walnut Street School. Miss Emma Wiberg was employed as the teacher.
