These fifteen Red Squirrels were procured by Frank Fisher. They were mounted and formed into an orchestra by the skillful taxidermist, Joseph Housekeeper. They were arranged in a semi-circle and fronted by their leader who is wearing spectacles. Each squirrel is stationed behind a music stand, and as though playing, holds a musical instrument. The instruments range from a violin to a bass drum. The Squirrel Orchestra is housed and on exhibit at the Wayne County Historical Society of Ohio.
