Brief History
The Wooster Poetry Society was founded on November 29, 1940. It was officially organized April 1942.
At the First Anniversary Celebration held in November 1941, more than 30 people participated. Our collection includes Book #3 of the Wooster Branch of the Ohio Poetry Society covering the year 1959-1960. The secretary at the time was Anne Moser. Two other publications of the Wooster Branch of the Ohio Poetry Society include: Chrysalis, published in 1952 and Emerging Wings, published in 1963.
