The first elders of this denonomiation were Peter {{Surname|Yoder}}, John {{Surname|Zook}} and Benjamin {{Surname|Schrag}}. In 1862 they put up a house of worship near the centre of Green comfortably seating an auditory of about 511. This is perhaps the only meeting house owned by this denomination in the United States.
