"The second meeting of the [[Congress 4-H Club|Congress 4-H Sewing Club]] was held at [[Congress High School]] on June 6th. The meeting was called to order by the President, thirty-one girls responding to the roll call by the name of their favorite study. After all business of the club had been disposed of the new members were initiated into the club. The work for the summer was outlined and explained by the leaders, Mrs. Charles Mowrer and Mrs. Wayne Essick, also detailed instructions were given on the making of different garments. It was voted that the next club meeting should be held on June 19th, to which all mothers of club members are invited to partake of a picnic at the high school. The meeting was closed by all members repeating the Club Pledge. Club Reporter."
