After returning from the war he had a photography business in [[Wooster, Ohio]]. Upon his death in 1871 his wife, Emma C. Greenwald tried to carry on a photography business by January of 1873 she was in business with Clippinger. Professor G. W. Doty bought Greenwald's Gallery sometime during the year of 1867.
