This house was established by its present proprietor about five years ago. The carpet department embraces not only mattings, oil cloths, hemp and two and three-ply ingrain carpets, but also includes tapestry and body brussels, velvets, moquettes and Wiltons. He also carries a fine line of lace, damask and portierre curtains, window shades, poles and fixtures. This is the only exclusively carpet house in this city and in its elegance and completeness of stock, will bear favorable comparison with the leading carpet houses of our metropolitan cities. The services of an expert carpet cutter and fitter is utilized, and when desired carpets will be cut. fitted and place on the floor. The proprietor of this house is among the prominent business men of this city, and has been called upon by his fellow citizens to fill important official positions in county and municipal affairs.
