"That's so" said the old man' "and we don't want any butchers to do the work either, so in order that we may find good mechanics, I will go with you and see if we cannot get Grofoot & Grunder to do the work-- that is if we can get them, but I understand they are always busy and have built some some of the best houses and business blocks in Creston and surrounding country. They are both contractors and builders of wide experience, and considered among the best carpenter and builders in the country. So Crofoot & Grunder got the contract for both the house and bar n and received the entire praise of all for their excellent workmanship. They are now building a barn for Ed Bowman and have the contract to build a house and barn for Clem Ault. and a house for Chas. Marks, and also a store building in Seville. They have a contract for collar cases for a Cleveland firm and have already delivered part of same." [1]
