Lakes, Creeks, Swamps

Some of the main streams include Killbuck, Chippewa, Mohican, Salt Creek, Apple Creek and Sugar Creek. The Killbuck is the largest of the streams. Other smaller branches or tributaries include Newman's creek, Muddy Fork, Grable's Fork, Little Killbuck, Clear creek, Spring Mills run, Crawford's run (aka Bahl's Mill run), Cedar run, and Christmas run.

Several lakes exist in Wayne County, Ohio. In Baughman Township, Fox Lake and Patton's Lake, can be found. These are situated in the marshy district known as "Tamarack Swamp." Doner's Lake can be found in Chippewa Township; Brown's Lake and Manley's Lake in Clinton Township; Newman's Creek Swamp near Orrville in Green Township (aka "Dismal Swamp" and "Shades of Death") and into Baughman Township; Killbuck Swamp located in Wooster and Franklin Townships; and Odell's Lake in Clinton Township.
