Perry Foltz learned the photography business working for Benjamin F. [[Battels (surname)|Battels]] in [[Akron, Ohio]] in 1875. By 1884 he had moved to [[Wooster, Ohio]] where he shared a studio over a grocery store with Willis E. Foltz. From about 1897 to at least 1902 Willis E. Foltz was the proprietor of the Eclipse Photo Gallery back in Akron, Ohio. Perry [[Foltz (surname)|Foltz]] died in April of 1917.
