Comprehensive History

Evangelical Lutheran Christ Church located at 245 South Grant Street, Wooster was established in 1819 as the Church of Peace. Buildings were erected in 1820 and 1838. The name changed from Church of Peace to The German Lutheran and Reformed Church of Wooster. In 1869 the name changed to Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church.
