Comprehensive History

Bethel Church located in, Canaan Township was established in 1841. The English Lutheran erected a building in 1844 and their present building in 1870. They had formerly worshipped with the German Reformed at Kopp’s Meeting House. The only source found for this church was History of Wayne County Ohio, Ben Douglas, 1878, pg. 776.
