He was evidently a Bishop since records indicate that he united Jonathan B Stutzman and Fannie Bachman in marriage Feb. 3, 1842. His name appears in the ordained brethren who attended the Diener Versammlung in 1862 and 1865, which was held in Wayne County both those years (one year his name was reported as “Peter” which evidently was an error.)
